Teacher Certification

The 200-hour teacher training is an expansive program that affirms and welcomes people of all backgrounds, race, genders, and ethnicities into the study and practice of yoga. Our comprehensive online certification program lays a foundation for you to become an adept and effective yoga teacher to lead safe, empowering, and grounded yoga classes.

You also learn how to offer modifications, posture options, clarification of contraindications, and how to create a complete series of classes with progressive levels of difficulty. The yoga teacher training certification includes both a solid grounding in technical skills and the development of an empathic, intuitive approach to teaching.

Ultimately, this course is designed to empower, nurture, and support you to deepen your personal practice, and lead you on your path towards personal growth and transformation. Upon successful completion of all hours, final teaching practicum, and exam, you will be issued a certificate to teach yoga at 200-hour level, and register with Yoga Alliance for membership.

Course Overview

Our Yoga Alliance Registered 200 Hour Teacher Training weaves a combination of teaching techniques, applied anatomy and philosophy, mindfulness meditation, pranayama, and energetics, along with the business and ethics of yoga to provide you with the tools to become a skillful yoga teacher.

Asana – Learn the foundational asanas/postures and how to create engaging, compassionate, and rewarding sequences.

Pranayama – Learn the core pranayama/controlled breathing techniques and enable students to experience body-mind-breath integration and purification through yogic breathing.

Yoga philosophy – Gain a deeper personal relationship towards yoga philosophy, with an emphasis on integrating Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras teachings.

Principles of Anatomy and Physiology – Focus on safety, joint movement, range of motion, and a functional understanding of skeletomuscular systems and structures.

Relaxation and Meditation – Gain skills for centering yourself and your students. Create a safe space for fostering inward focus, guided meditation, and cultivating deep relaxation/savasana.

Instruction in Yoga Asana, Pranayama, and Meditation – 100 hours

Teaching Methodology – 30 hours

Anatomy and Physiology – 20 hours

Philosophy/Ethics/Lifestyle – 30 hours

Practicum – 15 hours

Business Ethics – 5 hours

Total = 200 hours
